The first time I heard Cherri V's single ‘Til The Sun Comes Up' I was listening to Bang Radio on a Saturday afternoon.
I had no doubt in my mind that the singer was of American descent (terrible I know) The song was heavily percussion-led and sounded quite reminiscent of Amerie’s ‘1 Thing’ so I automatically thought it was a ‘Rich-Craft’ production.
Little did I know that the woman behind the mic was UK artist Cherri Voncelle, (We hear she is also the Niece of UK songstress turned TV Presenter, Mica Paris). You may also recognise Cherri V from short-lived Girl Group 'Trinity Stone'. But now Ms V is making solo moves and this track is a 'BANGER'
