Shore Club Miami

E-mail Print PDF

Designed by famed British architect David Chipperfield and landscaping inspired by the rich intense Matisse-inspired colors of the Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech, Shore Club is a hotel in South Beach that features a landmarked Art Deco lobby conceived as a calming transition to the labyrinth of gardens with secret passageways, alcoves and a succession of different outdoor 'rooms'. Anchored by the original polished terrazzo floor, this radiant space features a lit metal wall mural and white sheer curtains surrounding columns that are internally illuminated with colored light.

The elegant furnishings are an eclectic mix evocative of global marketplaces—including relaxed sofas, tufted floor cushions, antique plantation chairs, stools imported from Italy, hand-woven tribal rugs, large patterned throw pillows from Kenya, Turkish bronze tray tables, and modern Italian polished stainless steel and white glass side tables mixed with antique hand-hammered silver metal tables.
